who we are
Church on Main is a Southern Baptist Church that aligns with the Baptist Faith and Message. Our church has been a long-standing pillar in the Snellville community and we are more determined than ever to ensure we facilitate the Great Commission for generations to come.
While our name remains legally First Baptist Church Snellville, on August 8th, 2021 we officially relaunched as Church on Main. Learn more about our history and the details on our name change in the video below.
HISTORY HIGHLIGHTS
1882
Seven members began meeting on August 12, 1882 as Darien Baptist Church. One year later, membership unanimously voted to be renamed Snellville Baptist.
1975
In response to the influx of churches in the area, Snellville Baptist was renamed to First Baptist Church of Snellville under the leadership of Pastor Paul Aiken.
2016
Upon the arrival of our current Senior Pastor Brian Boyles, an extensive renovation to our property was launched. The last phase of the Beyond Us building initiative was completed in April 2021
2021
In an effort to further reach our community with the Word as well as to align with our newly updated aesthetics, FBCS relaunched as Church on Main.
